LCA2010 Open Day
The <a href="http://www.lca2010.org.nz/programme/open_day">LCA2010 Open Day</a> is the final day of a week long Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) conference.
The Open Day is free to the general public and showcases FOSS software and projects. There will be a number of talks scheduled during the LCA2010 Open Day, which introduce you to FOSS software. You can rub shoulders with some of the world's most prestigious technical gurus.
The LCA2010 Open Day will showcase the <a href="http://carrott.org/blog/">Electric Mini</a> with its owner, Tom Parker, available to talk about its open source <a href="http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/tumanako/index.php?title=BMS">Battery Management System</a>. The <a href="http://www.greenstage.co.nz/">GreenStage Electric Saker</a> will also be on display with its owner, Philip Court, available to talk about writing software for the 200kW inverter and the <a href="http://www.tumanako.net/">Tumanako</a> project.
As both of these vehicles live in Auckland, this is an opportunity not to be missed for Wellingtonians.

Organised by local Technology Company, Zero Emission Vehicles Ltd (ZEV), the day brings together "kiwi skill and ingenuity" says ZeroNOW spokesperson Jon Hogan.
